Posted on 09 September 2010 by Aviva

As Anuradha Nair from Storytrailer says “Story telling is a tool to communicate with kids and helps take the message across.” Thats what they proved with their three action packed shows of story telling.

Starting with a character called Dracula Ink. He is the antagonist who likes to steal stories suck ink from them. His favorite story as told to the kids is a folk tale from Madhya Pradesh that he wants to steal. The tale is called ‘Buying a Dance’. This is a story of a husband and wife. Wife wants to dance and insists her husband to buy her a dance. Husband goes to the village to buy the dance but villagers laugh on him. On his way back, he invents a dance to please his wife using inspirations from the elements he sees around him. He gifts it to his wife, saying its the most expensive dance she could buy from the market.

Kids become paper back heroes, act like monkeys to spread Dracula ink’s ink from the ink pots, in all they enjoy an interactive fun filled session with the story tellers from Storytrail, and learn about how sharing stories can save them from Dracula ink and how donating books can help sharing stories and knowledge.
