Extra-curricular activities are as important as school studies

Posted on 17 December 2010 by Dr.Chiranjib Deb

Extra curricular activities play a key role in developing skill of individual, it give enough space in child’s mind to think and act in different innovative way in different fields…

See knowledge is something that ought to be expressed, that should not remain bookish only….the extra curricular activities give a child to enhance the skill which he /she has learnt…now debate competition, speech ,extempore speech, playing different games, participating in quiz , dance, music all play synchronously with school study to develop all round outlook of a child…

Most importantly extra curricular activities enhance the confidence level, which is a very much needed, ….as self confidence is an important component of success…. also extra curricular activities make school studies enjoyable ,a sense of integrity develops in their mind, they start enjoying in groups.

School studies are  must, and extra curricular activities give an edge to succeed with an inherent knowledge…. extra curricular activities can not be a substitute for school activities….but both school studies and extra curricular activities are very much important….when both are combined, the children get into actual education…and it becomes effective ….

HELP THE NOBLE CAUSE,ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY,SPREAD THE EDUCATION…

Posted on 13 November 2010 by Dr.Chiranjib Deb

THOSE WHO CAN NOT VISIT THE VENUE YOURSELF  OR WHO DO NOT HAVE BOOKS TO DONATE…..you must also be a part of this event…

1)We play many games in networking site…and we become addicted to those game, but in return do we get anything or do we give anything to the society????….the answer is yes…the “EDUCATION IS INSURANCE” website gives you an opportunity to sharp your brain and to do something  for the society…the game is so interesting…tests your IQ level…and I am sure u will become addicted to this…and this addiction is good because it highlights your skills…and the more important thing is that after every successful completion of the game ,a book will be donated to the aviva great wall of education…so helping the society…and a satisfaction that playing the game was not a waste of time ….rather your valuable 3mins has helped a kid some closeness  to education…the word EDUCATION …which is the main mantra of life…..

2)now the second option….we earn money everyday…and also we spend those money for many things…for family, for friends, for basic necessity, for enjoyment etc etc…and these all  are necessary for day to day life…..and …we teachers, doctors, engineers, professionals, buiesnessman, shopkeepers earn daily… what we earn ,these are not our self money …….one or the other way these come from tax, revenue of the people of the society…so we must have that moral responsibility to give a part of that money back to society…and when a cause like Aviva Great Wall of education is happening in the city, and the people who are not able to attend it because of  earlier scheduled work,or job or because of some work and also who do not have the book to donate …they can still be a part of the event by donating books online which costs from Rs.50 onwards….the link is given in the home page of the website of EDUCATION IS INSURANCE …and this must be our moral responsibility ….yes we must give back something to the society and when its for education….it will give the most satisfaction…..

Education – The Real Scenario & the Remedy

Posted on 29 September 2010 by Dr.Chiranjib Deb

To begin with this article, one aphorism that I must mention….i.e. “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man”—by Swami Vivekananda…
Education is one of the important phases of life…the phase which is never ending. People learn throughout life, there is no limit to education….as in the word of mathematics it can be defined as “limit tends to infinity”.
Though in today’s world many people are unemployed despite standard level of education…this thought of unemployment trigger their followers to say ‘bye bye’ to education. But in my opinion if a graduate do not find any job, then if he joins a shop, or if he starts driving or any things which is not his job according to his qualification, then in the long run he will be benefited and respected in a far better way than the one who is not educated and doing the same sort of job. If someone is unable to continue education because of economic reasons, family burden etc, my note is not to discourage them, rather some sections of the society should come forward to help them in continuing their education.
Now talking of the education we should always think about quality education….and in my opinion quality education means inner depth of education and if a person acquires this then respect comes from within…and that education should not be only bookish, implementation of the thoughts which people learn are essential. Its not that every guy will become engineer, doctor, but every guy should be educated from within….I believe every guy is topper in his owned field…we should listen to everyone…we should not disrespect any people…each and every person is vital to this world…everyone’s thought, work are important everyone in this world is interrelated…this statement can not be skipped.
THOUGHT OF SOME SECTIONS OF PEOPLE AT OUR PLACE ABOUT EDUCATION AND THE REMEDY—
1) Here the parents think their children should be either a doctor or an engineer…with this thought they pursue their children to science stream against the wish of their children….but at the end of the day either that student fail to go forward with this thought or some might continue this way with full pressure resulting in frustration and finally in a job which is not satisfying. So living life in a tense situation.
So, people should not force their children into something which he/she can not manage rather think in a practical way every field has its own importance every field has good career opportunity provided students follow the field in a meaningful way which is enjoyable too.
2) Another section of people, they are so  rich that their children think that they will go outside or abroad even if their results do not suit their course, and this leads to mere enjoyment of those students only, final outcome educated students without education the meaning is “no inner education” and they enjoy this and they think that this is the life. Now I am emphasizing here the meaning of the word “outside” according to them, telling someone that “I m going outside” is a big thing, more importantly this satisfies them. If you ask those students after their matriculation or 10+2 examination, that what course they want after their result, or what will be next??…they will strictly and proudly answer that “going outside” ….that means results do not matter much to them, as they are very much sure of the trends that their parents will support their these illogical thought….this does not mean that I am not in support of “outside” study…rather for getting higher education this is an important step….but their should be some specific goal. Students from Delhi, Chennai also come to Assam for their study, getting into MBBS, MD.B.TECH, etc…so this is also “outside” for them….but with some specific goal….from this I think those sections of people should take a lesson that goal should be specific then choose location of course location is important, but primary thing should be goal then goal will ultimately guide into suitable place.
This blog is to highlight these small things which I have seen around my network but these small things may not be small unless we all focus and try to find out the solution.
