‘Aviva Great Wall of Education’ receives phenomenal response from Chennai
The Aviva Great Wall of Education culminated into a book distribution ceremony on its fifth day 9th September. Mr. Vishal Gupta, Director Marketing Aviva India presented the collected books to the representatives of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Save the Children India and Vidyarambam.
As a part of Aviva’s Street to School program, the books from the wall will be used to move thousands of underprivileged children with these organizations closer to education.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vishal Gupta said, “The collected books will go towards building a brighter future for the underprivileged children by helping them into education. We appreciate the patronage of the people of Chennai towards this noble cause.”
Also present on this occasion was Mr. N. Ram, Editor in Chief, The Hindu. “Education is the key. Seeing the kind of books being donated, I can say that people have given what are most valuable to them,” said N. Ram. He also quoted the message a child wrote on the books he dressed, “This book is precious to me. Please take care of it.”
Ms. Sudha Ragunathan visited the Aviva Great Wall of Education to support the cause. “I request all to donate books after reading and not keep them to the bookshelves. I hope this little Mt. Everest of books that Chennai has help make, will be of benefit to the children”
